The Jaguar E-Type was a high performance British racing icon of the 1960s. Its classic design was recognised worldwide. In 2008, the Daily Telegraph ranked the E-Type first in the list of "100 most beautiful cars of all time". The E-Type entered production in 1961 with a 6 cylinder 3.8 litre engine, later upgraded to 4.2 litres. During 13 years of production, over 70,000 jaguar E-Types were sold.
